The Champions League (also known as the European Cup) is a seasonal club football competition organized by UEFA since 1955 for the most successful football clubs in Europe. The prize, the European Champion Clubs' Cup, is considered the most prestigious club trophy in the sport.
In 2009 the Champions League Final is being held in Rome Italy at the Stadio Olimpico. Manchester United are the defending champions, having won the trophy in 2007/08.
