The Australian Open is one of the principal annual golf tournaments on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The event was first played in 1904 and takes place toward the end of each year.

The 2009 Open was played at New South Wales Golf Club and was won by Australian Adam Scott. In 2010 the Australian Open is taking place at the The Lakes Golf Club, Sydney.
