The U.S Women's Open began in 1946 and is the longest-running event currently on the LPGA Tour. It is one of the LPGA's four major championships and this year it is being help at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Oakmont remains perhaps the most difficult course in North America, with 210 deep bunkers, hard and slick greens that slope away from the player, and tight fairways requiring the utmost precision.
