Melbourne Cup - 2nd November, 2010

The Melbourne Cup is Australia's major annual thoroughbred horse race. It is known as "The race that stops a nation" and it is for three-year-olds and over, and covers a distance of 3,200 metres. It is generally regarded as the most prestigious "two-mile" handicap in the world. The event is held on the first Tuesday in November by the Victoria Racing Club, on the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne. The 2009 Melbourne Cup winner was Shocking, ridden by Corey Brown and trained by Mark Kavanagh.

Payment Terms
50% deposit is due within 7 days of confirmation of booking. Balance is due 30th July, 2010 and once paid in full, all Melbourne Cup Carnival packages are 100% non refundable and non transferable.

Melbourne Cup Breakfast Details:
Pre-breakfast drinks will commence in the foyer of the Palladium (Time TBC). Doors will be opened at 0730hrs. The breakfast will conclude at 0930hrs at which point coaches will be on standby to move guests to Flemington Race Course.

Palladium is located at the EAST END of Crown Casino, on Level 1. Easiest way to describe it is closest to the main hotel reception, and up the marble staircase.

The dress code for the function is smart race wear. All guests must be over the age of 18 years of age. Anyone under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent of guardian and minors are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverage.
