Royal Ascot
17 - 21 June, 2008
The centerpiece of Ascot's year, Royal Ascot is one of the world's most famous race meetings, attended by the British Royal Family, arriving in a horsedrawn carriage every year.

Over 300,000 visitors attend the event over the 5 day racing carnival, comprising 16 Group Races. Each race day has at least one Group 1 race, with some of the highlights being the Golden Jubilee Stakes and the King's Stand Stakes which was won in 2003 by Australian-trained Choisir and in 2006 by Miss Andretti, who also set a new record for the race!

Racing aside, Royal Ascot also ranks as one of the most extravagant events on the British social calendar.
