To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first Test Match, played between Australia and England on 15-19 March 1877 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, England will return to the MCG in 2027 for a one-off Anniversary Test to celebrate 150 years of Test Cricket between the two nations.

In 1877 Australia won the inaugural Test by 45 runs, and funnily enough, 100 years later in the Centenary Test, Australia defeated England by 45 runs at the MCG.
