Sri Lanka Cricket Tour

Thursday 23 June, 2022
Make your way to Colombo (group flight details coming shortly). On arrival we will be transferred to our hotel the Taj Hotel. Those booking their own flights will need to make their own way to the hotel.
Friday 24 June, 2022 - 5th ODI
Today we’ll transfer to the Premadasa Stadium for the last of the ODI’s - Sri Lanka v Australia, with match tickets and corporate hospitality included.
Saturday 25 June, 2022
We’ll have the morning at leisure before an afternoon tour of Colombo, followed by our welcome dinner at the Singhalese Sports Club (SSC - the home of Sri Lanka Cricket).
Sunday 26 June, 2022
This morning we’ll depart Colombo for Kandy, stopping off at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, followed by lunch by the riverside, watching the elephants taking their daily bath. Onto our hotel, the Golden Crown, before dinner at the Old Trinitians Sports Club (OTSC) the original Kandy Test venue and home of the infamous Steve Waugh / Jason Gillespie collision.
Monday 27 June, 2022
Today we’ll undertake a full day tour to the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya – the Lion Rock and the opportunity of climbing this challenging UNESCO listed world heritage site. On the way we'll stop at the Dambulla Rock Temple with a guided tour.
Tuesday 28 June, 2022
Today we depart Kandy for our drive to the UNESCO listed heritage city of Galle where we’ll check into our hotel, the Radisson Blu Galle.
Wednesday 29 June - Sunday 3 July, 2022 - First Test, Sri Lanka vs. Australia
Today (and the following 4 days) we’ll transfer to the Galle International Stadium, one of the world’s most picturesque cricket grounds ringed by the Galle Fort and the Indian Ocean for the 1st Test Match – Sri Lanka v Australia. Our air-conditioned box, lunch and drinks makes this an enjoyable day at the cricket.
Monday 4 July, 2022
This morning we depart Galle for Yala National Park, the premier wildlife experience in Sri Lanka. We'll also stop off at Hambantota on our way through. Dinner tonight at our hotel Cinnamon Wild.
Tuesday 5 July, 2022
Today a game drive through the National Park. Leopards, elephants and bears are on our watch list. Breakfast and dinner included at the hotel.

Our second game drive through the National Park. Leopards, elephants and bears are on our watch list. Breakfast and dinner included at the hotel.
Thursday 7 July, 2022
Leaving Yala and a return to Galle, but this time a different hotel, the Araliya Beach Resort in the seaside village of Unawatuna.
Friday 8 - Tuesday 12 July, 2022 - Second Test, Sri Lanka vs. Australia
Today (and the following 4 days) we’ll transfer to the Galle International Stadium, one of the world’s most picturesque cricket grounds ringed by the Galle Fort and the Indian Ocean for the 2nd Test Match – Sri Lanka v Australia. Our air-conditioned box, lunch and drinks makes this an enjoyable day at the cricket. We’ll finish our tour here with a farewell dinner.

Today we depart Galle for our return transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for our flight home or our extension to The Maldives.

Today, an early start then head back to Colombo to the airport for our afternoon flight to Male. On arrival a short night speedboat transfer to our beautiful Hudhuranfushi Resort.

A day in paradise to do as little or as much as you like, diving, fishing, spa treatments etc. All inclusive - Full board and drinks.

Second day in paradise to do as little or as much as you like, diving, fishing, spa treatments etc. All inclusive - Full board and drinks.

Same again, but this evening we transfer back to the airport for your flights back to Australia.

Ray has hosted several tours with Premium Sport Tours, including the last tour of Sri Lanka in 2016. Ray is coach and selector for the Victorian Men's Cricket team and has an extensive knowledge of the current Australian Test team.
