2016 SRI LANKA CRICKET TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Sunday 24 July, 2016
Depart your capital city for your group Singapore Airlines flight to Colombo via Singapore. On arrival we will be transferred to our hotel the Heritence Negombo. Those booking their own flights will need to make their own way to the hotel. This evening is at your leisure.
 

Monday 25 July, 2016
This morning we’ll leave for the hilltop city of Kandy, and to our accommodation, the Grand Kandyan. This afternoon we’ll visit the sacred Buddhist Tooth Relic Temple with a cultural show, then tonight we’ll have our welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
 

Tuesday 26 - Saturday 30 July, 2016 : First Test
Today (and the following 4 days) we’ll transfer to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium for the 1st Test Match – Sri Lanka v Australia, with an air-conidtioned suite or marquee with corporate hospitality inclusive of lunch and tea.
 

Saturday 30 July, 2016
At the conclusion of the match we’ll transfer to Dambulla to the Heritance Kandalama Hotel for the next 2 nights.
 

Sunday 31 July, 2016
Today we’ll undertake a full day tour to the ancient rock fortress of Sigiyira – the Lion Rock and the opportunity to climb this challenging UNESCO listed world heritage site. After lunch we then head to the Dambulla cave temple, a UNESCO listed world heritage site.
 

Monday 1 August, 2016
Today we’ll head to Colombo and en route we’ll stop at the famous Pinnawela Elephant Sanctuary and have drink watching the elephants bathe in the Maha Oya River. Then onto the famous Cinnamon Grand, a true oasis in bustling Colombo.
 

Tuesday 2 August, 2016
This morning we’ll do a morning sightseeing tour of Colombo finishing up at the Cricket Club Café, iconic in Colombo and full of wonderful memorabilia, with the opportunity to stay for lunch.
 

Wednesday 3 August, 2016
A leisurely morning then transfer down to Galle to our luxury hotel the Fortress (or similar).
 

Thursday 4 - Monday 8 August, 2016 : Second Test
Today (and the following 4 days) we’ll transfer to the Galle International Stadium, one of the world’s most picturesque cricket grounds ringed by the Galle Fort and the Indian Ocean for the 2nd Test Match – Sri Lanka v Australia, with an air-conidtioned suite or marquee with corporate hospitality inclusive of lunch and tea. On the Sunday evening we’ll have a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
 

Monday 8 August, 2016
For those returning to Australia, we’ll leave this evening for Colombo airport and our late night Singapore Airlines flight back home.

Friday 22 July, 2016

Those booking their own flights will need to make their own way to the hotel. This evening is at your leisure.
 

Saturday 23 July, 2016
This morning we’ll undertake a city tour of Singapore with the afternoon free to explore. This evening we’ll have a special dinner at the Singapore Cricket Club, a truly memorable experience, and one of the highlights of the tour.
 

Sunday 24 July, 2016
Today is free for you to explore the city at your own leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight to Colombo.

Monday 8 August, 2016
An additional final night in Galle.
 

Tuesday 9 August, 2016
Today, a relaxed start then head back to Colombo to the airport for our afternoon flight to Male. On arrival a short afternoon speedboat transfer to our beautiful Paradise Island Resort.
 

Wednesday 10 - Thursday 11 August, 2016
Two days in paradise to do as little or as much as you like, diving, fishing, spa treatments etc. Full board is included (meals, not drinks).
 

Friday 12 August, 2016
Same again, but this evening we transfer back to the airport for your Singapore Airlines flights back to Australia.
