The 1,000km touring car race is held annually at Mount Panorama in Bathurst, New South Wales. The rivalry that is Holden v Ford, the skills of the drivers as they battle 161 laps of a demanding and challenging track, and the staying power necessary to take the chequered flag. This is why the Bathurst 1000 is known among fans and broadcasters as the pinnacle of Australian motorsport.
